Our partners co-founded Standard Communities, now one of the nation's leading affordable housing platforms — 30,000+ apartments acquired and rehabilitated across 22 states, $3.6 billion in transactions, approximately 60,000 residents served. They co-founded Cloudbreak Health, a telemedicine platform operating in over 3,000 healthcare venues with language access in 250+ languages. They grew Emergent Medical Associates from a small family practice into one of Southern California's leading emergency medicine groups, caring for more than one million patients per year.
Before building companies, our team spent years in investment banking and private equity, participating in over $10 billion in transactions. That background taught us how capital works. Our years as founders taught us how operators actually need it to work. Combined: 65+ years operating, 30+ companies founded or backed, and platforms that changed how communities access housing and care. The gap between knowing how capital works and knowing how operators need it to work is where Alt+J lives.
